[2025-2026] Regarding the year-end and New Year holidays and the Japan Patent Office's deadline extension measures (until January 5th)

We would like to inform you of the year-end and New Year holidays for intellectual property firm Evolix from 2025 to 2026.

We regret to inform you that our office will be closed during the following period.

  • Closed period: Saturday, December 27, 2025 to Sunday, January 4, 2026

*About inquiries during holidays

We will not be accepting inquiries by phone, but inquiries via email or web form will be accepted 24 hours a day, even during the holidays.

As a general rule, we will respond to your inquiries in order after January 5, 2026 (Monday).

Like our office, the Japan Patent Office will be closed from Monday, December 29, 2025 to Saturday, January 3, 2026.

Along with this, special measures will be applied regarding procedural deadlines for patents, utility models, designs, and trademarks.

If the deadline falls on a holiday period

Based on the "Act on Administrative Organ Holidays," the last day of the procedure (deadline for responding to a notice of reasons for refusal, deadline for requesting review, etc.) is "December 29th to January 3rd"and'Sunday, January 4', the deadline will be automatically extended to 'Monday, January 5, 2026'.

If you are concerned that the deadline for your project is close to the year-end and New Year holidays, please contact us as soon as possible within the year (by December 26th) so that we can confirm the exact deadline.
